On December 10, 2021, Rasa Tamošiūnaitė, Deputy Head of the Document Research Department of the Forensic Science Centre of Lithuania, paid a working visit to the Kyiv Scientific Research Institute of Forensic Expertise.
The main purpose of Rasa Tamošiūnaitė’s visit was to establish ties between the Kyiv Scientific Research Institute of Forensic Expertise and the Forensic Science Centre of Lithuania, to discuss partnerships, prospects for mutual scientific work, and to study the experience of the Institute’s Handwriting Research Department.
During the visit, Iryna Bilous, Head of the Handwriting Research Department and Oleh Posilskyi, Head of the Materials, Substances and Products Research Department, acquainted the guest with modern opportunities for handwriting research, including signature expiration as well as they demonstrated the material and technical base used for forensic examinations in the Institute.
In addition, Rasa Tamošiūnaitė made a welcoming speech at the opening of the I All-Ukrainian Scientific and Practical Conference “Forensic Psychological Examination: Achievements, Development and Prospects”, which was introduced in the Kyiv Scientific Research Institute of Forensic Expertise and held on December 10, 2021.
International partnerships, both in the field of forensics and in the field of research, are an important part of our work. Today, Kyiv Scientific Research Institute of Forensic Expertise is a participant in several international programs, such as the exchange of experience of forensic experts CEPOL, the International Joint Exercise Program (ICE) of the United Nations Office on Drugs and Crime (UNODC) and others.
