Kyiv Scientific Research Institute of Forensic Expertise of the Ministry of Justice of Ukraine was held a meeting of scientific workers on the election of the Academic Council members.
Oleksandr Ruvin, Director of KFI, in his opening speech noted that according to the legislation and the charter, the Academic Council of a scientific institution is a collegial body for the management of scientific, scientific and technical, scientific and organizational activities which carries out consultative and advisory functions.
In its work the Academic Council is guided by the Constitution of Ukraine, the Law of Ukraine “On Forensic Expertise”, the Law of Ukraine “On Scientific and Scientific and Technical Activities”, other laws of Ukraine, the Instruction on the appointment and conduct of forensic examinations and expert studies approved by the order of the Ministry of Justice of Ukraine, the Charter of Scientific Research Institute of Forensic Expertise of the Ministry of Justice of Ukraine, etc.
Let us recall that the previous elections of the members of the Academic Council were held in 2012.
The Academic Council of Kyiv Scientific Research Institute of Forensic Expertise members consist of 15 people. The Charter provides that the Academic Council includes: Director of the Institute – Chairman of the Academic Council (Oleksandr Ruvin), Deputy Director – Deputy Chairman of the Academic Council (Tatiana Holikova) and Scientific Secretary – Secretary of the Academic Council (Viktor Koloniuk). The other members of the Academic Council were elected by secret ballot of the scientific staff of KFI.
After completion of the voting process, counting of votes and announcement of the composition of the new Academic Council of KFI, the participants also discussed the process of implementation of the thematic plan for scientific research by the employees of Kyiv Scientific Research Institute of Forensic Expertise.
