The expert of the Kyiv Scientific Research Institute of Forensic Expertise became a participant in the online presentation of the scientific and methodological manual “Forensic examination of intellectual property rights in Ukraine”

On July 7, 2022, Nataliia Klymova, a leading forensic expert of the Kyiv Scientific Research Institute of Forensic Expertise of the Commodity and Object Research Department, became a participant in the online presentation, with international participation, of the 2nd edition of the scientific and methodological manual “Forensic Examination of Intellectual Property Rights in Ukraine”, prepared by employees of the Forensic Research Center for Intellectual Property of the Ministry of Justice of Ukraine.  One of the reviewers of the scientific and methodological manual was Nataliia Nestor, Doctor of Law, Deputy Director for Scientific of the Kyiv Scientific Research Institute of Forensic Expertise, Honored Lawyer of Ukraine.

The purpose of the online presentation of the manual is primarily to involve judicial experts, judges, representatives of law enforcement agencies, lawyers, patent attorneys, scientists and all those who associate their activities with the protection of intellectual property in Ukraine.

During the presentation, attention was focused not on the fact that the main purpose of publishing such a manual is meaningful, but on the most concise coverage of the main issues of theory, history, methodology and generalized practice of conducting forensic examination on intellectual property for a wide range of subjects of economic, civil, criminal, and administrative proceedings.  which are decided by the forensic expert, the peculiarities of the appointment and the materials necessary for the forensic examination, as well as the regulatory, methodological, and scientific sources recommended for the implementation of relevant examinations and expert research. Attention is paid to the peculiarities of the appointment and conduct of forensic examinations of intellectual property in civil, economic, and criminal proceedings in Ukraine.

The authors of the manual also stressed to the invited participants that this scientific and methodological publication will be useful for future and certified forensic experts on intellectual property, judges, lawyers, experienced and novice scientists, members of the public, appraisers, as well as for all those who share the values of inviolability and effective protection of intellectual property rights.
