On October 21, 2022, in accordance with the plan of the Scientific Advisory and Methodological Council on Forensic Science at the Ministry of Justice of Ukraine, a meeting of the section on forensic examination of video and audio recording and photo-technical examination was held via videoconference mode.
The following participated in the work of the section from the Kyiv Research Institute of Forensic Expertise of the Ministry of Justice of Ukraine:
- Nataliia Nestor, Deputy Director of the Kyiv Scientific Research Institute of Forensic Expertise;
- Yevhen Tymko, Head of the Phonoscopic and Computer Research Department, Head of the Section;
- Anait Hovannisyan, Deputy Head of the Phonoscopic and Computer Research Department;
- Vladyslav Smirnov, Senior Forensic Expert of the Phonoscopic and Computer Research Department.
At the meeting of the section, there was a discussion of the issues on the agenda, namely: the state of implementation of the current research works in accordance with the thematic plan of the Ministry of Justice of Ukraine for 2022; results of approval and implementation of scientific works. In addition, the participants of the section reviewed and updated the approximate list of issues in the Scientific and Methodological Recommendations on the Preparation and Appointment of Forensic Examinations and Expert Studies, considered proposals for making changes to the training (internship) programs for expert specialities; considered proposals regarding the relevance of separate recommended scientific and technical and reference literature, formed and approved the draft work plan of the section for 2023.
