On April 26, 2023, the event of the tragedy of Chornobyl Day of Remembrance took place in Cherkasy. The event was invited and attended by the chief forensic expert of the Cherkasy branch of Kyiv Scientific Research Institute of Forensic Expertise, the direct liquidator of the accident and its consequences Viktor Fonrabe.
An example of heroism, perseverance, and devotion to the performance of duty was shown by firefighters during the extinguishing of a fire at the 4th power unit of the Chornobyl Nuclear Power Plant. For his dedication and professionalism shown during the liquidation of the consequences of the accident, Victor Fonrabe was awarded the badge “For Courage and Heroism”.
We thank all the Chornobyl veterans who work today at the Kyiv Scientific Research Institute of Forensic Expertise and teach the younger generation by the example of their feat.
