From August 01 to August 04, 2023, Deputy Director of the Kyiv Scientific Research Institute of Forensic Expertise Nataliia Nestor took part in the training “Engaging Women Leaders in Equality and Rights” (EMPOWER) in Krakow (Poland), organized by the Government of the United States of America, with the assistance of the US Department of Justice, the International Criminal Investigation Assistance Program (ICITAP) and the Counterterrorism Bureau of the State Department (CT) and the Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI). The purpose of the training was to create capacity and equality for women in politics and the fight against terrorism, supporting their leadership roles in leadership positions.
Nataliia Nestor presented her vision of the role of a female leader in the world and in Ukraine, and also made a presentation about the Kyiv Scientific Research Institute of Forensic Expertise, on the example of which she emphasized the need to assist in the development of forensic institutions in Ukraine.
Nataliia Nestor participated in strategic conversations on U.S. Government assistance to Ukraine with representatives of the U.S. Department of Justice, Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI), and representatives of the Maryland Coordination and Analysis Center (MCAC).
This training provided an opportunity to discuss topics that contribute to strengthening the capacity of Ukrainian institutions on a national scale.
