Within the framework of foreign support of forensic experts and within the framework of the project “Support to Capacity Building in the Context of European Integration”, the Kyiv Scientific Research Institute of Forensic Expertise received a batch of portable computers from representatives of the Republic of Latvia. Computers worth more than 30 thousand euros were handed over by Deputy Prime Minister/Minister of Justice of the Republic of Latvia Jānis Bordāns Nataliia Nestor, Deputy Director of the Kyiv Scientific Research Institute of Forensic Expertise.
Since, against the background of russia’s full-scale aggression against Ukraine, forensic experts have increased the volume of forensic examinations, and, accordingly, the need for additional equipment and technical support is growing. War crimes committed throughout Ukraine should be recorded and investigated. Latvian colleagues expressed the opinion that the transferred modern computer equipment will significantly speed up and improve the work of forensic experts of the Kyiv Scientific Research Institute of Forensic Expertise when performing examinations, first of all, concerning the commission of Russian war crimes on the territory of Ukraine.
