From May 2 to May 4, 2023, the expert service of the Ministry of Internal Affairs held a round table “Linguistic Expertise: Prospects and Development” on the basis of the Chernihiv State Scientific Research Center of the Ministry of Internal Affairs. The event was held online and with the physical presence of participants.
On behalf of the Kyiv Scientific Research Institute of Forensic Expertise, the participants of the event were Svitlana Dolynkivska, Head of the Department of Linguistic Research of Writing, Iryna Tkachuk, Leading Forensic Expert, Oksana Chaika, Forensic Expert and Diana Aldoshyna, Forensic Expert of the Department of Linguistic Research.
The purpose of the round table was to discuss topical issues of linguistic expertise, especially when forensic experts of Ukraine have been working for a year in conditions of aggression of the Russian Federation and high workload. In particular, the experts discussed the prospects for the development of methodological foundations of modern linguistic semantic-textual expertise of speech, the development of a theoretical methodological base, and other topical issues of today, that forensic experts of linguistic expertise face.
Also, the participants of the event had the opportunity to conduct a fruitful discussion and exchange experience, receiving competent and thorough answers from qualified specialists.
