Serhii Naumenko, Senior Researcher of the Criminalistics Laboratory of Kyiv Scientific Research Institute of Forensic Expertise of the Ministry of Justice of Ukraine was a participant of the scientific and practical seminar “Modern aspects of the fight against the legalization of stolen vehicles”. The event was held in Dnipropetrovsk State Scientific Research Forensic Center of the Ministry of Internal Affairs.
The event brought together representatives of expert institutions of the Republic of Belarus, Georgia, Estonia, participants in research projects of the Ministry of Justice of Ukraine, colleagues from the State Scientific Research Forensic Center of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Ukraine and territorial units of the Expert Service of the Ministry of Internal Affairs.
During the seminar, the participants discussed the problems and solutions to pressing issues in the fight against the legalization of stolen vehicles, provide examples of specific cases from the practice and considered modern research methods.
The event was attended by representatives of the Forensic Examination Committee of the Republic of Belarus and they presented practice case of cars’ research, the current state and development trends of the forensic examination of vehicle identification marks in their country. In addition, the floor was given to a representative of the Police and Border Guard Board of the Republic of Estonia, who spoke about the study of vehicles with altered signs when trying to legalize in different countries.
At the end of the scientific and practical event, the participants received the relevant certificates of participation.
