Within the framework of the CEPOL Exchange Program, a representative of the Central Forensic Laboratory of the Police, Poland arrived at the Kyiv Scientific Research Institute of Forensic Expertise

On October 18, 2021, as part of the CEPOL Exchange Program, Katarzyna Rejzowicz, a representative of the Central Forensic Laboratory of the Police, Poland arrived at the Kyiv Scientific Research Institute of Forensic Expertise.

During the week, Yurii Irkhin, Head of the Psychological Research Department of the Kyiv Scientific Research Institute of Forensic Expertise, will acquaint Katarzyna Rejzowicz with the procedures of psychological examinations used in the Ukrainian forensic institutions. Methods and techniques for conducting such research will also be presented.

Additionally, Katarzyna Rejzowicz will study the practice of using polygraphs in Ukraine. It should be noted that Ukrainian expert institutions have developed their own methods of conducting psychological research using a polygraph, in contrast to colleagues from Poland, who use methods that were developed and adopted by the American Polygraph Association.

The international exchange of experience under the CEPOL program is an extraordinary opportunity both to study the methods and features of forensic examinations in other countries and to present to the world the best Ukrainian experience in this field. This year, in order to study the Ukrainian experience in conducting forensic examinations at the Kyiv Scientific Research Institute of Forensic Expertise, was visited by representatives of Armenia, Turkey, and Poland.

It should be noted that the Kyiv Scientific Research Institute of Forensic Expertise is the first institution in the system of the Ministry of Justice of Ukraine to take part in the CEPOL Exchange Program.
