The management and staff of the Kyiv Scientific Research Institute of Forensic Expertise express their sincere condolences to the team of the State Scientific Research Forensic Center of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Ukraine in connection with the tragic event on August 19, 2023.
The tragedy occurred during an examination by experts on the territory of the Center of an explosive object. During operation, the object of study detonated. Four experts of the Center were died, among whom was our former colleague Polieshko Leonid.
Since 2011, Leonid Polieshko has worked in various positions at the Kyiv Scientific Research Institute of Forensic Expertise. In 2022, due to the transition to another job, he left the position of chief forensic expert of the Research on Life Safety, Fire-Technical and Electrical Studies Department of the Laboratory of Engineering and Technical Types of Research of the Kyiv Scientific Research Institute of Forensic Expertise. While working at the Kyiv Scientific Research Institute of Forensic Expertise, he was one of the most highly qualified individuals with a high level of training. For a conscientious attitude to the performance of official duties, initiative and perseverance was encouraged by the leadership of the Kyiv Scientific Research Institute of Forensic Expertise and was encouraged.
We deeply mourn over this irreparable loss and express our sincere condolences to the relatives of the victims, as well as to the entire staff of the State Scientific Research Forensic Center of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Ukraine. Blessed memory!
