During the meeting, the parties discussed current issues of forensic examination related to the interaction and coordination of forensic institutions of Ukraine with other agencies during martial law, as well as the areas of work of forensic institutions in Ukraine. The meeting was held within the framework of an official visit of a foreign delegation to Ukraine to study the situation with extrajudicial, summary or arbitrary executions carried out by russian troops on the territory of our country, as well as to discuss recommendations for ensuring the rights of victims in the context of russia’s armed aggression against Ukraine.
Natalia Tkachenko thanked the representatives of the Office of the United Nations High Commissioner for Human Rights for the support they are ready to provide to Ukraine.
Nataliia Nestor spoke about the activities of the Kyiv Scientific Research Institute of Forensic Expertise, its international relations with institutions and bodies of the world and the exchange of experience between experts.
