From July 01 to July 05, 2024, the Kyiv Scientific Research Institute of Forensic Expertise organized a training course for employees of state forensic institutions of the Ministry of Justice of Ukraine, namely: the Lviv Scientific Research Institute of Forensic Expertise, the Dnipro Scientific Research Institute of Forensic Expertise, the Odesa Scientific Research Institute of Forensic Expertise, the National Scientific Center
«Ноn. Prof. М.S. Bokarius Forensic Science Institute», Scientific Research Center for Forensic Science of Information Technologies and Intellectual Property. The topic of the course was “Implementation of the standard and methodology for the use of a computerized polygraph in expert practice”. The keynote speaker was Tetiana Morozova, Leading Researcher of the Psychological Research Laboratory of the Kyiv Scientific Research Institute of Forensic Expertise, Doctor of Psychology.
The course participants reviewed the methods, algorithms for conducting forensic examinations using a computerized polygraph, the peculiarities of analyzing the initial data; got acquainted with the definition of the limits of competence of a forensic expert who conducts forensic psychological examinations using a computerized polygraph; considered the requirements for formulating expert opinions on studies conducted using a computerized polygraph in the current standard and methodology. In addition, the participants analyzed polygraphs, identified significant physiological reactions, and prepared test questionnaires for conducting forensic psychological examinations in proceedings on suspicion of treason, collaboration, war crimes, crimes against the person, and in cases of invalidation of a transaction.
At the end of the event, the participants received certificates of completion of the training course.
