On May 30, 2024, the Training Center of Prosecutors of Ukraine hosted the training “Expertise in criminal proceedings on criminal offenses against the environment. Peculiarities of qualification and pre-trial investigation in criminal proceedings on war crimes against the environment”.
Oleksii Kopanytsia, forensic expert of the Environmental Research Laboratory of the Kyiv Scientific Research Institute of Forensic Expertise, participated in the event as a trainer.
The training was conducted to increase the level of professional competence of prosecutors on the peculiarities of appointing and conducting forensic engineering and environmental and complex forensic examinations in criminal proceedings on criminal offenses against the environment and war crimes that encroach on the environment.
