On May 25, 2017 Deputy Director of KIF became a participant of the international conference «Arotsker’s Readings» in Poltava region, devoted to the 90th anniversary of birth of the outstanding scientist-criminalist Lev Arotsker. Doctor of Law, Professor Len Arotsker is known as one the leading experts in the field of handwriting and problems of the use of forensic tools, methods and recommendations in the court proceedings.
The event attracted more than 100 participants. Among the participants were representatives of the Ministry of Justice of Ukraine, state officials and officials of the local self-government, forensic expert institutions of the Ministry of Justice of Ukraine, the Ministry of Internal Affairs, higher educational institutions, law enforcement bodies, courts, public and other organizations of Ukraine, Republic of Lithuania, Montenegro, Republic of Belarus, Republic of Armenia, Republic of Latvia and others.
At this event more than 20 people made reports and statements related to the urgent issues of forensic expertise and criminalistics.
As a result of discussions of the considering problems, with the aim of further improving of organizational, scientific, expert and methodological work were adopted the conference’s recommendations. Theses of scientific reports and statements were published in the collection «Arotsker’s Readings».
