Technical Committee No. 192 “Forensic Sciences” was held a meeting Kyiv Scientific Research Institute of Forensic Expertise

On the basis of Kyiv Scientific Research Institute of Forensic Expertise of the Ministry of Justice of Ukraine, was held an expanded meeting of the Technical Committee (TC) No. 192 “Forensic Sciences”.

The Technical Committee was created by the Order of the State Enterprise “UkrNDNC” dated 05.07.2018 No. 125 and by the Order of June 19, 2018 No. 175 approved the corresponding Regulation on TC No.192 “Forensic Sciences”.

In his opening remarks, the chairman of TC No. 192 “Forensic Sciences”, Oleksandr Ruvin, Director of Kyiv Scientific Research Institute of Forensic Expertise, noted that the work of this Technical Committee is extremely important in improving the quality of forensic examinations and developing national standards, including those harmonized with international standards. Similar activities are being implemented in all highly developed countries of the world.

The order of the meeting included consideration of three main blocks of issues on the implementation of the National Standardization Work Program for 2019 in the field of activity of TC 192, the formation of proposals in the TC 192 Work Plan for 2020 and the consideration of personnel issues.

Executive Secretary of TC No. 192 “Forensic Sciences”, Andrii Poltavskyi, Assistant Director of Kyiv Scientific Research Institute of Forensic Expertise, noted that over the past year of work, in accordance with the National Standardization Work Plan, 10 projects harmonized or developed by DSTU (National Standards of Ukraine) and have been published. Active work will continue in the future as well.
