On January 28, 2022, as part of joint scientific and practical, educational activities, a delegation of students of the Taras Shevchenko National University “Chernihiv Collegium” visited the Kyiv Scientific Research Institute of Forensic Expertise.
During the visit, the staff of the Laboratory of Organization of Scientific, Methodological Activities, Regulatory Support and International Cooperation and the Materials, Substances and Products Research Department conducted an excursion to the museum and laboratories of the Kyiv Scientific Research Institute of Forensic Expertise.
Yuliia Foris, a junior researcher showed the students the museum’s exposition, which covers a wide history of forensic science, from the founding of the Kyiv Scientific Research Institute of Forensic Expertise as the Cabinet of Scientific and Forensic Examination under the Prosecutor of the Kyiv Judicial Chamber up to the present.
Oleksandr Borzov, a leading forensic expert conducted a tour of the tobacco research room, where he clearly demonstrated the operation of a machine for testing the content of tar and nicotine in cigarettes.
Ostap Savenok, a forensic expert in the materials, substances and products research department, told about the asphalt concrete research carried out at Kyiv Scientific Research Institute of Forensic Expertise and demonstrated the operation of the relevant equipment.
Cooperation with educational institutions is an important area of the Institute’s work. Exchange of experience and knowledge, joint participation in scientific activities of students and experts of Institute helps to increase legal awareness, culture and skills of future professionals.
