On August 07, 2024, a scientific and practical seminar with the participation of the KFI specialists was held on the basis of the Main Department of the National Police in Ivano-Frankivsk region.
Pavlo Borshchevskyi, Deputy Head of the Laboratory of Engineering, Transport, Commodity and Special Types of Research of the Kyiv Scientific Research Institute of Forensic Expertise made a presentation “Investigation of a pedestrian collision. Possibilities of auto technical expertise. Expert approaches to determining the speed of vehicles when hitting pedestrians” and “Investigation of aviation events and incidents at the present stage of aviation technical expertise”. Oleksandr Yurchenko, Deputy Head of the Engineering and Transport Research Department of the Laboratory of Engineering, Transport, Commodity and Special Types of Research of the KFI, familiarized the students with the capabilities of the PC-Crash software product. Vasyl Matveiiv, Head of the Aviation, Technical and Watercraft Research Sector of the Laboratory of Transport, Commodity and Special Types of Research of the KFI delivered a lecture on “Investigation of the circumstances of events on water transport”.
