Serhii Naumenko, Chief Forensic Expert of the Questioned Documents Examination Department, took part in the CEPOL 2021 Exchange Program.
During the visit, Serhii Naumenko was acquainted with the peculiarities of research of identity documents, counterfeit banknotes of different countries, establishing the sequence of manuscripts and printed texts without their common intersections.
Representatives of the Institute of Forensic Science of the Slovak Police also shared their findings in the extremely relevant area of identification of laser printers and gave examples of such studies.
In addition, Serhii Naumenko was acquainted with examples of research of identification documents that will be falsified using the method of “Morphing”, which consists in the use of the original document, which contains a combined image of several persons, namely the owner and the attacker.
This year, under the CEPOL Exchange Program, representatives of the Kyiv Scientific Research Institute of the Forensic Expertise have already visited expert institutions in Poland, Armenia and Slovakia. Delegations from Turkey and Armenia also visited the Kyiv Scientific Research Institute of the Forensic Expertise to exchange experiences.
