On April 13, 2023, an online discussion was held on topical issues regarding the timing of forensic examinations and logistics of expert institutions, organized within the framework of the European Union project “Support to Reforms and Digitalization of the Justice Sector in Ukraine” (Pravo-Justice project).
Representatives of Kyiv Scientific Research Institute of Forensic Expertise at the event were:
- Nataliia Nestor, Deputy Director of Kyiv Scientific Research Institute of Forensic Expertise
- Oleksandr Sadchenko, Head of the Organization of Scientific, Methodological Activities, Regulatory Support and International Cooperation Laboratory, Kyiv Scientific Research Institute of Forensic Expertise
Representatives of the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine, the Ministry of Justice of Ukraine, expert institutions of the Ministry of Justice of Ukraine, the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Ukraine, the Ministry of Health of Ukraine, the Security Service of Ukraine, representatives of the professional community of forensic experts and practising lawyers were invited to participate in the event.
During the discussion, the following issues were discussed:
- Actual problems regarding the timing of forensic examinations
- Material and technical support from expert institutions
- Other pressing issues of a controversial nature
