On December 23, 2021, representatives of the Kyiv Scientific Research Institute of Forensic Expertise took part in the V International Scientific and Practical Conference “Problems of Theory and Practice of Forensic Intellectual Property” (Krainev Readings). The organizer of the conference is the Research Center for Forensic Intellectual Property (hereinafter referred to as the Center). The event was held online.
The conference itself is timed to the 17th anniversary of the Center. The purpose is to study and develop the scientific heritage of the first director Krainev Petro.
The Kyiv Scientific Research Institute of Forensic Expertise presented the following persons:
- Nataliia Nestor, Deputy Director, delivered the introductory welcome address;
- Nataliia Klymova, Leading Forensic Expert of the Commodity Research and Research of Intellectual Property Objects Department if the Kyiv Scientific Research Institute of Forensic Expertise ;
- Oleksandr Zherebko, Head of the Regulatory and Methodological Activity and Standardization Department;
- Oleg Baulin, Head of the Scientific Activity and International Cooperation Department;
- Oleksandr Sadchenko, Head of the Laboratory of the organization of scientific, methodological activity, regulatory support and international cooperation;
- Victor Davydchenko, Leading Forensic Expert of the Kropyvnytskyi Branch of the Kyiv Scientific Research Institute of Forensic Expertise;
During the conference, the participants heard reports and considered issues related to forensic examination of intellectual property issues, including history, theory and methodology. Additionally, the issues of forensic examination in the fields of technical creativity, brand names and trademarks, examination of computer programs were discussed.
