Representatives of the Kyiv Scientific Research Institute of Forensic Expertise became participants in the annual Monitoring of legislation within the framework of the EU project “Pravo-Justice”

On February 08-09, 2023, a regular presentation of the Monitoring Report on the implementation and analysis of the effectiveness of the adopted legislative acts, which is supported by the EU Project “Pravo-Justice”, took place.

Oleg  Baulin, Head of the Scientific Activity and International Cooperation Department, Tetiana Holikova, Head of the Laboratory of Organization of Expert Activity, Viktoriia Andrusenko,  Head of the Research  Quality Control and Management Department and  Oleksandr Zherebko, Head of the Normative and Methodical Activity and Standardization Department became the representatives of the Kyiv Scientific Research Institute of Forensic Expertise at this event.

The event was held in Kyiv at the UBI Conference Hall with the physical presence of participants.

Denys Maliuska, Minister of Justice of Ukraine, Oleksandr Banchuk, Deputy Minister of Justice, Oksana Tsymbrivska, Head of the EU Project “Pravo-Justice”, addressed with a welcome speech to the audience.  The event was also attended by representatives of the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine, representatives of the Ministry of Digital Transformation and others.

Presentations by Oleksandr Oliinyk, Director of the Directorate of Justice and Criminal Justice of the Ministry of Justice of Ukraine on “Monitoring 2022”, Anastasiia Ulasevych, State  Expert of the Expert Group on Justice-Related Legal Institutions of the Directorate of Justice and Criminal Justice of the Ministry of Justice of Ukraine on the following topics were presented to the participants: “Involvement of foreign relations many experts to conduct forensic examinations in Ukraine”, “Results of forensic examinations conducted abroad”, “Preservation of documents under martial law and/or a state of emergency”.

In addition, the presentation of the “Online Monitoring” platform, which was developed by the EU “Pravo-Justice” together with the Ministry of Justice to digitize the process of collecting and analyzing information within the framework of work on annual monitoring of legislation, took place.

Since the problematic issues need to be resolved by amending the legislation, applying the proposals developed during the monitoring of 2022 to solve these problems will allow the development of Ukrainian legislation in certain areas and make it more effective than it is now.
