Kyiv Scientific Research Institute of Forensic Expertise of the Ministry of Justice of Ukraine, together with the National University of the State Fiscal Service of Ukraine was held the international scientific-practical conference “Reforming the Criminal Proceedings in Ukraine: Criminal Procedural and Criminalistics Aspects”.
The event was dedicated to the memory of Professors Volodymyr Bakhin, Vitalii Lysychenko, and Isaac Friedman.
During the practical work of the conference, Kyiv Scientific Research Institute of Forensic Expertise was presented by Director Oleksandr Ruvin, Deputy Director Nataliia Nestor, the Head Department of Handwriting Research Iryna Bilous and the forensic expert of the Department of Trasology, Ballistic and Weapon Research Anton Kaminskyi.
In general, the speakers presented the participants with more than 50 scientific presentations in two sections: Section 1. Criminal Proceedings in Ukraine; Section 2. Current issues of forensic science.
Within the framework of the reports, the issues of current trends in information support of crime investigation activities, prospects for implementing the institute of mediation in criminal proceedings in Ukraine, current procedural criminal law, the institution of extradition in Ukraine, forensic expert activities in Ukraine, etc. were highlighted.
