On April 14, 2022, on the occasion of the professional holiday, the day of a forensic expert of the Republic of Moldova, an international scientific-practical conference “Scientific issues in the field of psychiatric forensic examination and ways to use it in court” was held. The conference was organized by the Ministry of Justice of the Republic of Moldova together with the National Center for Judicial Expertise of the Republic of Moldova. The conference was also co-organized by the UN Office in Moldova, Wroclaw University of Vocational Training (Poland), the Association of Immunopsychology and Psychosomatics (Romania), and the Center for Legal Medicine of the Ministry of Health of the Republic of Moldova.
Nataliia Nestor, Deputy Director for Research, represented the event from the Kyiv Scientific Research Institute of Forensic Expertise of the Ministry of Justice of Ukraine.
The event was opened by the Minister of Justice of the Republic of Moldova Serhii Lytvynenko, after which Olga Kataraga, Director of the National Center of Forensic Science of the Republic of Moldova, addressed the participants with a welcoming speech. Later in the conference, scientific reports of representatives of expert and scientific institutions of Moldova, Armenia, Poland, and Romania were heard.
