On June 7, 2023, the chief forensic expert of the Cherkasy Branch of the Kyiv Scientific Research Institute of Forensic Expertise Viktor Fonrabe took an active part in the seminar meeting on the study of fires and establishing the causes of their occurrence, which was held with the participation of inspectors of district departments, investigators of the Main Department of the National Police of Ukraine in the Cherkasy region, experts of the Cherkasy Scientific and Scientific Research Center of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Ukraine and the Cherkasy Branch of the Kyiv Scientific Research Institute of Forensic Expertise of the Ministry of Justice of Ukraine, representatives of the Department of Emergency Prevention and the Central Emergency Service of Ukraine.
In his speech, Victor Fonrabe revealed the topic “Investigation of the circumstances of the occurrence and spread of fires and compliance with fire safety requirements. Peculiarities of Forensic Fire and Technical Examinations”.
The participants of the seminar had the opportunity to get acquainted with the practical experience of specialists during fire and technical examinations, to discuss the topic of studying the circumstances of fires and meeting fire safety requirements.
The joint meeting of operatives and scientists allowed us to discuss in more detail modern approaches to solving issues during fire and technical examinations and research. The seminar participants also shared their practical experience and discussed specific situations that arise during the forensic fire and technical examination.
Conducting such events allows specialists from related services to improve their professional level, improve joint actions during the inspection of the fire site, detection, suppression, prevention and investigation of criminal offences and other fire-related events.
