The delegation of Kyiv Scientific Research Institute of Forensic Expertise of the Ministry of Justice of Ukraine, consisting of the Assistant Director Andrii Poltavskyi, the Head of the department of normative and methodological activities and standardization Oleksandr Zherebko and the Head of the handwriting research department Iryna Bilous presented the Institute at the VIII Interdepartmental Scientific and Practical Conference “Theory and practice of forensic science activity”.
The meeting was held on the basis of the educational and scientific institute No. 2 of the National Academy of Internal Affairs and was devoted to the main problems of criminalistics, in particular in the activities of specialists of the National Police of Ukraine, the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Ukraine, the Ministry of Health of Ukraine, the Ministry of Justice of Ukraine and others.
The participants discussed the issues of forensic support for the investigation of electronic and space crime, the problems of identifying and researching falsification of documents, the features of forensic profiling, the use of deep learning neural network technology in phonoscopic examination, interaction with other law enforcement agencies and judicial institutions, regulatory issues, etc.
