Participation of Kyiv Scientific Research Institute of Forensic Expertise in the round table discussion “Topical issues of improving the teaching of disciplines of the criminal law cycle”

Nataliia Nestor, Deputy Director of Kyiv Scientific Research Institute of Forensic Expertise at the invitation of colleagues became a participant in the scientific and practical table “Topical issues of improving the teaching of disciplines of the criminal law cycle”.

The event was organized by the Department of Criminal Law and the Law Faculty of the National Aviation University with the participation of representatives of state and public organizations, as well as higher educational institutions.

During the meeting, topical problems of teaching methods of criminal and criminal procedural law, criminology, lawyers, and prosecutors were discussed as well. The seminar participants paid special attention to the process of reforming these branches of law. In addition, the scientists examined the issues of improving the teaching of the disciplines of the criminal law cycle and pointed out the problems that exist today in the scientific and educational environment.

Nataliia Nestor, Deputy Director of Kyiv Scientific Research Institute of Forensic Expertise presented to the audience the topic of the current state of forensic science on the example of Kyiv Scientific Research Institute of Forensic Expertise of the Ministry of Justice of Ukraine.

The report was particularly relevant in view of the close scientific cooperation of Kyiv Scientific Research Institute of Forensic Expertise with higher educational institutions. So, systematic visits to Kyiv Scientific Research Institute of Forensic Expertise are carried out by students of legal specialties. Future professionals have the opportunity to get acquainted with the activities of the laboratories of the Institute, and also visit the Institute’s museum where the history of the formation and development of forensic examination on the territory of modern Ukraine is presented.
