Participation of Kyiv Scientific Research Institute of Forensic Expertise in the international conference “Qualitative study of the crime scene is an important factor in further forensic examinations

On April 14, 2023, on the occasion of the professional holiday, the Day of the Forensic Expert of the Republic of Moldova, an international scientific and practical conference “Qualitative research of the crime scene is an important factor in further forensic examinations” was held.

The conference was organized by the Ministry of Justice of the Republic of Moldova together with the National Center for Forensic Expertise of the Republic of Moldova. The conference was also co-organized by the Higher School of Vocational Training in Wroclaw (Poland), the Romanian Association of Forensic Experts and the Center for Forensic Medicine of the Ministry of Health of the Republic of Moldova.

Olga Cataraga, Director of the National Center for Forensic Expertise of the Republic of Moldova, opened the conference and addressed the participants with a welcoming speech.

Ukraine was represented by participants from the following institutions:

  • Kyiv Scientific Research Institute of Forensic Expertise of the Ministry of Justice of Ukraine
  • National Scientific Center “Hon. Prof. M. S. Bokarius Forensic Science Institute”, Kharkiv
  • Odesa Scientific Research Institute of Forensic Expertise of the Ministry of Justice of Ukraine, Odesa
  • Kirovohrad Scientific Research Forensic Center of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Ukraine, Kropyvnytskyi

Representatives of the Kyiv Scientific Research Institute of Forensic Expertise of the Ministry of Justice of Ukraine in this event were Oleksandr Ruvin, Director of Kyiv Scientific Research Institute of Forensic Expertise and Oleksandr Sadchenko, Head of the Organization of Scientific, Methodological Activities, Regulatory Support and International Cooperation Laboratory of Kyiv Scientific Research Institute of Forensic Expertise.

Oleksandr Ruvin, Director of Kyiv Scientific Research Institute of Forensic Expertise, addressed the participants with a welcoming speech, where he drew attention to the relevance of the discussed topics and wished the conference participants interesting reports and fruitful work.

Later, the conference heard scientific reports of representatives of expert and scientific institutions of Moldova, Armenia, Poland, and Romania.
