Oleksandr Ruvin, Director of Kyiv Scientific Research Institute of Forensic Expertise became a participant in the meeting of the Verkhovna Rada Committee on National Security and Defense.
The meeting was devoted to the discussion of information on the results of the complex forensic expert examination: military, trasological, chemical, ballistic and explosive, which was appointed in criminal proceedings on the death and injury of servicemen of the Armed Forces of Ukraine during tactical exercises at the 233 Rivne combined-arms polygons on July 6, 2018.
Among the main speakers at the meeting were the Prosecutor General of Ukraine Yurii Lutsenko, Serhii Pashynskyi, the Chairman of the Verkhovna Rada Committee on National Security and Defense, Oleksandr Ruvin , the Director of KFI and Oleksandr Dublian, the State Secretary of the Ministry of Defense of Ukraine.
During the speech, Oleksandr Ruvin, the Head of KFI, informed the participants of the main points of the conclusions of the complex forensic examination: military, trasological, chemical, ballistic and explosive. In particular, the presentation focused on the investigation of the metal of the mortar barrel, the verification of the compliance with the technical design documentation, operational factors and the command decisions, the organization and observance of security measures during the exercises, the conditions for storage of ammunition, etc.
