Konstiantyn Lahoda, the Head of the Kropyvnytskyi Branch of the Kyiv Scientific Research Institute of Forensic Expertise at the invitation of the management of the Flight Academy of the National Aviation University on February 27, 2020 became a participant in an international scientific and practical seminar. The discussed theme was “World experience and trends in the use of unmanned aerial vehicles in search and rescue operations. The use of artificial intelligence methods for the organization of search and rescue operations.”
Employees of the National Police of Ukraine, the Security Service of Ukraine, specialized Ukrainian higher educational institutions and foreign partners were also the participants of the event.
Serhii Nedilko, the head of the Flight Academy of the National Aviation University, outlined the main trends in the development of unmanned aerial vehicles in the world and familiarized those present with the developments that are being implemented at the Academy.
Konstiantyn Lahoda, the head of the Kropyvnytskyi Branch of the Kyiv Scientific Research Institute of Forensic Expertise, noted that the newly designed industry is rapidly developing. Over the past years, drones have been successfully used in forensic activities to improve the quality and effectiveness of research. If necessary, appropriate technologies are used when conducting engineering and technical research:
- construction work and determination of the value of real estate;
- land management and land valuation;
- quality and cost of road construction works, etc.
Experts from foreign companies from the USA, Australia and the Republic of Korea presented topical developments of promising unmanned aerial vehicles.
In addition, it was about the use of unmanned aerial vehicles in the activities of the State Emergency Service of Ukraine, the State Border Service of Ukraine, as well as innovative agricultural technologies.
In general, the participants agreed that in the near future the use of unmanned aerial vehicles will become even larger and will contribute to solving the most scientific, applied, military and civilian tasks, etc.
