Nataliia Nestor took part in the ENFSI Annual Meeting in Madrid

On May 28-31, 2024, Madrid (Spain), the Annual Meeting of representatives of European forensic institutions, organized by ENFSI and the Spanish National Police was held.

The international event was attended by Nataliia Nestor, Deputy Director of the KFI.

During the meeting, Dorijan Kerzan, ENFSI Chairman, presented certificates to the new permanent ENFSI representatives. The following documents were presented: the ENFSI Board Report, an overview on amendments of ENFSI Documents, Terms of Reference for Expert Working Groups and The Quality and Competence Committee, the new Policy on submission of Direct Award, a Presentation of ENFSI Finances, the developments of ENFSI working groups, ENFSI Standing Committee Reports, Presentation of the Standing Committee on Quality and Competence and the Standing Committee on Research and Development Activities, and the ENFSI Action Plan for 2024-2025.

The participants had the opportunity to ask questions, provide answers, and discuss the further development of forensic science in Europe.

It was voted that in 2025, Ukraine’s expert institutions will be exempt from paying membership fees.

Let us remind you that from the beginning of the full-scale military invasion of the russian federation, the KFI initiated the issue of exemption from such payments and the exclusion of expert institutions of the russian federation from ENFSI.

Our initiative has been supported since 2022, for which we are grateful to our colleagues and partners!
