Nataliia Nestor paid an official visit to U. S. state institutions and held an official meeting with the U.S. Deputy Attorney General

Nataliia Nestor, Deputy Director of the Kyiv Scientific Research Institute of Forensic Expertise, during her visit to the United States, held an official meeting with the Deputy Attorney General of the United States and visited several U. S. government agencies. The official visit to Washington took place at the personal invitation of the U. S. Government.

During the visit, Nataliia Nestor visited several U. S. government agencies and institutions, including,

  • FBI Headquarters
  • ICITAP HQ
  • U.S. Department of Justice
  • U.S. Criminal Department
  • Department for Combating the Circulation of Narcotic Drugs
  • Department of Counterterrorism
  • Department of War Crimes Investigation
  • Department of Human Rights Protection
  • U.S. Department of Justice
  • Chief Forensic Bureau of the District of Columbia

During the visit, Nataliia Nestor, Deputy Director of the Kyiv Scientific Research Institute of Forensic Expertise, held official talks with representatives of U. S. government agencies, where the main topics of discussion were issues of support and assistance to Ukraine.  As the topic of support for Ukraine remains a priority for U.S. foreign policy, U.S. officials expressed a position of systemic unwavering support for Ukraine, including in the justice sector.

During their meetings with Nataliia Nestor, representatives of various U.S. government agencies expressed assurance that they stand firmly in support of Ukraine’s sovereignty, and territorial integrity, and interest in providing practical steps to restore and provide legal assistance in Ukraine. Deepening cooperation between Ukraine and the United States in the field of justice in the future will only contribute to the implementation of bilateral initiatives.

The representative of Ukraine, Nataliia Nestor, was acquainted with the work of the U. S. Department of Justice. Directly, the Deputy Attorney General of the United States conducted a tour of the territory of the institution for Nataliia Nestor.  Nataliia Nestor expressed gratitude to the Deputy Attorney General of the United States and added that Ukraine, and in particular forensic institutions, will continue to cooperate with international partners to record crimes committed during russia’s full-scale war.
