Representatives of Kyiv Scientific Research Institute of Forensic Expertise, namely, Ihor Samoilenko, the Head the Trasology, Ballistic and Weapons Research Department and Serhii Lutsenko, the Head of the Explosion Research Department, took part in the regular meeting of the working group of the authors’ group of the practical guide “The actions of a policeman in the detection of weapons or explosives. Providing of the methodological assistance”.
The meeting was held on the basis of the National Academy of Internal Affairs of Ukraine with the participation of representatives of KFI, the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Ukraine, the National Police of Ukraine and the European Union Advisory Mission in Ukraine.
The main problematic issues, highlighted in the practical guide were discussed during the meeting the as well as organizational issues of further work on the practical guide.
At the end of the meeting, it was decided to recognize the prepared material as a working version, and to accept it as a basis, to make a review and submit it to the Academic Council of the Ministry of Internal Affairs for consideration. We are waiting for the publication of the continuation of the manual “Participation of a specialist in the inspection of the scene”, which was very useful in the activities of the units of the National Police of Ukraine!
