Kyiv Scientific Research Institute of Forensic Expertise took part in the international scientific research conference “Topical issues and development prospects of forensic and criminalistics examinations”

On September 3, 2021, an international scientific research conference “Topical issues and development prospects of forensic and criminalistics examinations” was held in Odesa, which was attended by representatives of the Kyiv Scientific Research Institute of Forensic Expertise.

The Odesa Scientific Research Institute of Forensic Expertise organized the conference; the event itself was dedicated to the memory of one of the founders and the first head of the Odesa Cabinet of Forensic Science of M.P. Makarenko and took place in the new premises of Odesa Scientific Research Institute of Forensic Expertise.

More than 100 people, including representatives of public authorities, expert and scientific institutions, NGOs in Ukraine, Bulgaria, Armenia, Moldova, Belarus, and Kazakhstan, attended the event.

Kyiv Scientific Research Institute of Forensic Expertise was represented at the conference by Nestor Nataliia, Doctor of Law, Honored Lawyer of Ukraine, Deputy Director for Research; Oleksandr Zherebko, Candidate of Juridical Sciences, Head of the Department of Regulatory and Methodological Activities and Standardization; Nataliia Arefina, Candidate of Psychological Sciences, Senior Forensic Expert of the Zhytomyr Branch; Anastasiia Moroz, Forensic Expert of the Vinnytsia Branch; Tetiana Kryvak, Junior Researcher of the Scientific Activity and International Cooperation Department.

The event was divided into three parts. Welcoming remarks were made at the opening of the conference by:

  • Haichenko Andrii – Doctor of Philosophy, Deputy Minister of Justice of Ukraine for Executive Service;
  • Serhii Shkarlet – Doctor of Economics, Professor, Minister of Education and Science of Ukraine;
  • Kivalov Serhii – Doctor of Law, Professor, Academician of the National Academy of Sciences of Ukraine, Academician of the National Academy of Pedagogical Sciences of Ukraine, Honored Lawyer of Ukraine, President of the National University “Odesa Law Academy”;
  • Serhii Mohyl – Candidate of Juridical Sciences, Judge of the Administrative Court of Cassation of the Supreme Court of Ukraine;
  • Blazhivska Nataliia – Doctor of Law, Judge of the Administrative Court of Cassation of the Supreme Court of Ukraine;
  • Cherdyntsev Yurii – Doctor of Philosophy, Director of the Odesa Scientific Research Institute of Forensic Expertise;
  • Kostin Andrii – Chairman of the Verkhovna Rada Committee on Legal Policy;
  • Tkachenko Nataliia – Candidate of Juridical Sciences, Director of the Department of Expert Support of Justice of the Ministry of Justice of Ukraine;
  • Hovsepyan Argam – Candidate of Medical Sciences, Director of the National Bureau of Expertise of the National Academy of Sciences of the Republic of Armenia;
  • Cataraga Olga – Director of the National Center for Judicial Expertise at the Ministry of Justice of the Republic of Moldova;
  • Kliuiev Oleksandr – Doctor of Law, Professor, Honored Lawyer of Ukraine, Director of the National Scientific  Center “Hon. Prof. M. S. Bokarius Forensic Science Institute ”of the Ministry of Justice of Ukraine;
  • Fedorenko Vladyslav – Doctor of Law, Professor, Honored Lawyer of Ukraine, Director of the Research Center for Forensic Intellectual Property of the Ministry of Justice of Ukraine;
  • Kovalenko Olena Valeriivna – Doctor of Economics, Professor, Honored Economist of Ukraine, Director of the Dnipropetrovsk Scientific Research Institute of Forensic Expertise of the Ministry of Justice of Ukraine;
  • Starodubov Ihor – President of the Union of Experts of Ukraine, and others;

In the second and third parts of the event, there were speeches of conference participants and presentation of reports.
