Kyiv Scientific Research Institute of Forensic Expertise of the Ministry of Justice of Ukraine published the textbook “Forensic Examination in the Procedural Law of Ukraine”.
The publication presents comprehensive changes in the procedural legislation that led to the development of forensic theory and forensic science and is a response to the need for the present to update the didactic material used in the educational processes of training, retraining and advanced training, especially of forensic experts.
The most up-to-date basic textbook on the application of special knowledge in the procedural law of Ukraine is recommended for publication by the Academic Council of the State Scientific Institution “Institute for the Modernization of Education” of the Ministry of Education and Science of Ukraine.
The basis for the formation of the content of the textbook was the Forensic Expert Training Program “Theoretical, Organizational and Procedural Issues of Forensic Expertise”, approved by the Ministry of Justice of Ukraine, and relevant information, which is from the point of view of the authors’ experience.
The textbook examines and analyzes the main types of forensic examinations used in procedural law, investigative and forensic practice. The order of organizing the appointment, conducting forensic examinations and their features is considered as well. The manual identifies the existing traditional and latest areas of forensics.
The publication is designed for forensic experts, employees of pre-trial investigation, judges, attorneys, professors, graduate students, students of higher educational institutions; it can be useful to persons studying (internship) in order to obtain the qualifications of a forensic expert.
Undoubtedly, forensic support of justice from collecting trace material and materialized information to its expert studies and presenting their results in court plays a large role in establishing the truth. We hope that the textbook “Forensic Examination in the Procedural Law of Ukraine” is another step in helping establish justice and protect human rights and fundamental freedoms.
