On February 22, 2024, the European Union Agency for the Training of Law Enforcement Officers CEPOL held a webinar on “Detection and Investigation of Clandestine Cigarette Production”.
The participants from Kyiv Scientific Research Institute of Forensic Expertise were: Oleksandr Borzov, Deputy Head of the Materials, Substances and Products Research Department of the Criminalistics Laboratory; Serhii Naumenko, Chief Forensic Expert of the Trace and Ballistics Research Department of the Criminalistics Laboratory; and Serhii Sichkar, Senior Forensic Expert of the Materials, Substances and Products Research Department of the Criminalistics Laboratory.
The purpose of this webinar was to present methods, practices and challenges for detecting and investigating illicit cigarette production by sharing information on criminal proceedings on illicit cigarette production in Germany.
