At the 36th year of life, the heart of Viktoriia V. Savchak, Deputy Head of the Laboratory of Environmental Research of the Kyiv Scientific Research Institute of Forensic Expertise, stopped beating. The Kyiv Scientific Research Institute of Forensic Expertise of the Ministry of Justice of Ukraine is in deep mourning over the untimely death of a colleague. The short life path of Viktoriia Savchak was hectic professionally. After graduating from the Uzhhorod National University, she began her career as a lawyer at the State Enterprise “Transcarpathian Research and Design Institute of Land Management”. Later she worked as a legal adviser and lead legal adviser in various companies. Then she continued her studies at the Lviv National Agrarian University in the speciality “Land Management and Cadastre” and received the qualification of “Land Surveyor”, and later received a degree in the same university speciality “Agronomy”.
In 2013, Viktoriia Savchak defended her thesis and received a diploma of Candidate of Juridical Sciences, and later received the academic title of Associate Professor of the Department of Land Management and Cadastre of the Uzhhorod National University. In 2016, according to the order of the Ministry of Education and Science of Ukraine, she received the academic title of associate professor of the Department of Land Management and Cadastre.
She worked as a senior lecturer, and associate professor at the Uzhhorod National University, at the University of the State Fiscal Service of Ukraine, and at the National University of Life and Environmental Sciences of Ukraine.
In 2017, Viktoriia joined the Kyiv Scientific Research Institute of Forensic Expertise of the Ministry of Justice of Ukraine, where she worked as a leading researcher at the Department of Land Management and Land Valuation of the Laboratory of Engineering and Technical Types of Research. Viktoriia Savchak over the years of work at the Kyiv Scientific Research Institute of Forensic Expertise has established herself as an experienced specialist with a deep understanding of forensic activities.
Since January 2023, Viktoriia Savchak has worked as Deputy Head of the Laboratory of Environmental Research of the Kyiv Scientific Research Institute of Forensic Expertise.
Viktoriia was repeatedly encouraged by the leadership of the Institute and other organizations.
She was awarded the gratitude of the Kyiv Scientific Research Institute of Forensic Expertise and the gratitude of the Prosecutor General’s Office of Ukraine on the occasion of the 105th anniversary of the founding of the Kyiv Scientific Research Institute of Forensic Expertise, the diploma of the Prosecutor General’s Office of Ukraine on the occasion of the Day of Forensic Expert, the gratitude of the Mayor of Kyiv.
At the end of 2019, she was recognized as the “Best Forensic Expert of the Laboratory of Engineering and Technical Types of Research of the Kyiv Scientific Research Institute of Forensic Expertise” with a diploma and a commemorative Cup.
In 2021, on the occasion of Lawyer’s Day, she was awarded the gratitude of the Ministry of Justice of Ukraine.
Viktoriia was highly respected in the team. She was always ready to help and support others in difficult life moments. In our memory and hearts, she will always remain a bright and caring person, a friendly colleague, and a professional in her field.
We deeply mourn this irreparable loss and express our sincere condolences to the family. We share the pain and grief of relatives.
