On October 7, 2022, the Economic Research Laboratory of the Kyiv Scientific Research Institute of Forensic Expertise together with the department of criminal investigations of the Institute of Economic Security and Customs Affairs of the State Tax University held a scientific seminar on the topic: “Expert research during financial investigations”. This event brought together about a hundred participants among teachers, students and practitioners.
Oksana Markina, Head of the Accounting and Tax Accounting Department of the Economic Research Laboratory, and Ihor Hrynenko, Head of the Financial and Credit Operations and Economic Activity Department of the Economic Research Laboratory, took part in the scientific and practical discussion of the seminar. As part of the scientific seminar, issues regarding the priority areas of expert research during financial investigations were discussed; in particular, students of higher education and teachers actively participated in interactive communication with experts and had the opportunity to hear answers to problematic questions that arise in the process of using special knowledge during financial investigations. Maryna Rudaia, Candidate of Economic Sciences, Associate Professor, and Leading Researcher of the Laboratory of Economic Research of the Kyiv Scientific Research Institute of Forensic Expertise moderated the event. With congratulatory words to those present, Acting Director of the Institute of Economic Security and Customs Affairs Olena Kalhanova, Tetiana Yatsyk, Acting Deputy Director for scientific work, and Yevhen Kolosovskyi, Acting Head of the Department of Criminal Investigations.
Based on the results of the scientific seminar, a decision was made to continue cooperation between the Economic Research Laboratory of the Kyiv Scientific Research Institute of Forensic Expertise and the Department of Financial Investigations of the State Tax University.
