As part of the continuation of international cooperation, Kyiv Scientific Research Institute of Forensic Expertise of the Ministry of Justice of Ukraine established cooperation with the Center of Forensic Expertise of the Ministry of Justice of the Republic of Kazakhstan and its regional institutions.
Nataliia Nestor, Deputy Director of KFI and Dinara Dauletkeldikyze, Director of the Center of Forensic Expertise of the Ministry of Justice of the Republic of Kazakhstan, signed a Cooperation Agreement between institutions.
The document provides for the implementation of bilateral cooperation in the field of scientific research, the creation of new and improvement of existing methods of expert research, the exchange of experience, mutual internships, etc.
Today, a forensic expertise covers a large number of scientific disciplines, and many topical problems of forensic science are difficult to solve using the resources of one laboratory in one state. At the same time, the growing number of serious international crimes requires close cooperation between states in investigation matters. That is why it is very important for each state to have access to expert research methods that are applied in other states.
The implementation of the integration of forensic expertise will lead to harmonization and improvement of expert national legislation and the theoretical basis of expertise, the development of unified guidelines for various types of examinations, obtaining international recognition of expert findings in general, improving expert activities and increase of professional skills of forensic institutions.
