KFI participated in the conference on innovative technologies in the security and defense sector of Ukraine

On March 27, 2024, Kyiv hosted the Interagency Scientific and Practical Conference “Implementation of Innovative Technologies and Modernization of the Technical Component of the Security and Defense Sector as a Significant Factor in the Fight against the Aggressor”, organized by the Ukrainian Research Institute of Special Equipment and Forensic Expertise of the Security Service of Ukraine.

Welcoming remarks were made by: Oleksandr Ruvin, Director of the Kyiv Scientific Research Institute of Forensic Expertise; Yurii Chechil, Director of the Ukrainian Research Institute of Special Equipment and Forensic Expertise of the Security Service of Ukraine; Mykhailo Verbenskyi, Director of the State Research Institute of the Ministry of Internal Affairs; Ihor Chepkov, Head of the Central Research Institute of Arms and Military Equipment of the Armed Forces of Ukraine; Serhii Krymchuk, Director of the State Scientific Research Center of the Ministry of Internal Affairs; Serhii Rozumnyi, Director of the Dnipro Scientific Research Institute of Forensic Expertise of the Ministry of Justice of Ukraine; Mykola Prodanchuk, Director of the State Enterprise “Academician L.I. Medved Scientific Center for Preventive Toxicology, Food and Chemical Safety of the Ministry of Health of Ukraine”; Hlib Holovchenko, Acting Director of the Ukrteleradiopressinstitute, Secretary of the National Union of Journalists of Ukraine.

During the conference, participants demonstrated presentations and discussed topics related to the exchange of practical experience and developments in the field of computer forensics for security and defense forces; the use of artificial intelligence technologies to support training and armed struggle; modern opportunities and new threats to human rights and freedoms; the use of artificial intelligence systems in the field of cybersecurity; problematic issues of OSINT investigations; information and legal aspects of countering information aggression. The scientific and technical projects of Igor Sikorsky Kyiv Polytechnic Institute for the security and defense of Ukraine were also presented.
