Every year, on the first day of summer, we celebrate International Children’s Day – a holiday for little citizens of our country. After all, the greatest value, the most precious wealth of every country and every nation is children.
Children’s Day was established in 1949 by a decision of the session of the International Democratic Federation of Women. It was first celebrated in 1950 in 51 countries. In Ukraine, Children’s Day is celebrated in accordance with the Presidential Decree of May 30, 1998.
For the second year in a row, the holiday for our children is not the same as always. It is a pity that today Ukrainian children are learning to live in a new reality. The insidious war has divided the lives of Ukrainian children and their parents into “before” and “after”.
The children of Ukraine should not suffer from hostilities, and should not see the horrors of war! They must live in a happy European country and not know what cruelty, pain and violence are. Caring for children, and awareness of the priority of their interests over the interests of adults should become the philosophy of our lives.
There is no greater happiness in the world than a child’s smile. May our children remain carefree, cheerful, and joyful as long as possible.
On the occasion of Children’s Day, the Kyiv Scientific Research Institute of Forensic Expertise wishes that every child is healthy and surrounded by the care of parents. May the sky above your head always be peaceful, and every new day – good and interesting. Adults should do everything in their power so that for our children the word “Ukraine” is not just the name of a certain territory on the world map, but becomes synonymous with the word “home” so that they proudly raise the blue-yellow flag into the sky so that they want to live and develop our country. We wish peace and harmony to every child, every family, and the whole of Ukraine!
