Forensic examination in Ukraine and in the Republic of Moldova was discussed by experts at the international scientific conference

Oksana Markina, Head of the Accounting and Tax Accounting and Reporting Studies Department of the Economic Research Laboratory of Kyiv Scientific Research Institute of Forensic Expertise paid a working visit to the Republic of Moldova.

The expert of Kyiv Scientific Research Institute of Forensic Expertise has become a participant of the international conference “The Problems and Prospects for the Development of Forensic Expertise in the Republic of Moldova”. The event was dedicated to a professional holiday – the Day of the Forensic Expert, which is celebrated in the country on April 12.

More than 50 participants from the Republic of Moldova, Ukraine, the Republic of Belarus and Romania discussed current trends in the development of forensic examination in various countries of the world, and several authors presented their research on various topics.

As part of the scientific session, forensic experts submitted their research papers and reports on forensic graphological, accounting and engineering expertise. In addition, the participants reviewed the relationship between the provisions of the legislation in the field of expertise with scientific criteria and innovative research methods.

The State Secretary of the Ministry of Justice of the Republic of Moldova Anatolii Muntianu, who was present at the Conference, presented the Strategy of Justice Development in the country to the participants. The new document contains provisions to improve the level of forensic expertise and increase the importance of forensic examination. According to the speaker, an important step and achievement in the implementation of this goal was the accreditation of the laboratories of the National Center at the Ministry of Justice of the Republic of Moldova. The main future tasks will be the creation of an institute for training experts in the field of forensic examination and the creation of a unified practice for the application of research methodology.

During the work, the conference participants agreed that the development of forensic examination is dynamic and meets the needs of society and the demands of justice. With the continuous development of the technological effectiveness of crimes, forensic examination receives new challenges and tasks. Their prompt and perfect solutions primarily depend on the well-organized joint work of experts, international communication and interdepartmental within each individual country.
