On March 29, 2024, forensic experts of the Vinnytsia Branch of Kyiv Scientific Research Institute of Forensic Expertise Anastasiia Moroz and Alina Kolomiets held an open lecture for applicants for the programs of study “Psychology”, “Crisis Psychology”, “Rehabilitation Psychology in Emergency Situations”, “Applied Linguistics” of Vasyl’ Stus Donetsk National University. Topics of the reports: “Forensic psychological examination. Social and psychological characteristics of persons who have experienced domestic violence”, “Identification and analysis of linguistic means of the speech act of accepting any benefit”.
During the event, the experts familiarized the students with the concept of forensic examination and the regulatory documents governing expert activity. The main forms and manifestations of domestic violence, the socio-psychological characteristics of persons with experience of domestic violence were highlighted and considered, and at the request of the students, the most pressing issues in the field of research using a polygraph were discussed. In addition, the types of speech act of accepting the provision of any benefit and the grammatical forms of its realization were analyzed. A simulated example of a fragment of a speech act of acceptance (consent) of an unlawful benefit was discussed with the students.
Part of the lecture was held in the form of a dialog between the speakers and the audience, and the questions that were of most interest to the students were answered.
