In order to discuss the effective use of forensic examination and cooperation with the preliminary investigation bodies, experts from the Kropyvnytskyi Branch of Kyiv Scientific Research Institute of Forensic Expertise were invited to participate in a seminar on the base of the Main Directorate of National Police in Kirovohrad Oblast.
The stage of pre-trial investigation is a certain stage in ensuring effective forensic review of the circumstances of the offense. Forensic examination is one of the means by which this task is performed. On the basis of special knowledge in a particular field, forensic experts provide opinions on issues that are or will be the subject of litigation.
Communication of forensic experts and representatives of law enforcement agencies makes it possible to more effectively implement the above tasks. So, the specialists of the Kropyvnytskyi Branch of Kyiv Scientific Research Institute of Forensic Expertise discussed with representatives of the Main Directorate of the National Police in the Kirovohrad Oblast the issues of the purpose and specifics of conducting various types of examinations, namely: economic, commodity, psychological, construction-technical and land-technical etc.
According to Kostiantyn Lahoda, the Head of the Kropyvnytskyi Branch of Kyiv Scientific Research Institute of Forensic Expertise, the emergence of problematic issues, when appointing and conducting forensic examinations, is due to the changes incurred by domestic legislation in the recent period. Conducting such practical meetings and active discussion of common problem issues will allow finding the most effective ways to solve them and facilitate the implementation of high-quality and effective cooperation between institutions.
