On November 15, 2023, a meeting was held with the participation of the heads of the investigative units of the Main Department of the National Police in Khmelnytskyi region, representatives of the Court of Appeal and the Prosecutor’s Office, as well as the Head of the Khmelnytskyi Branch of the Kyiv Scientific Research Institute of Forensic Expertise Anatolii Poplavskyi and forensic experts of the Branch Iryna Stadnik and Tetiana Matus.
Anatolii Poplavskyi, the Head of the Khmelnytskyi Branch of the Kyiv Scientific Research Institute of Forensic Expertise, focused on the issues related to the appointment of examinations in criminal proceedings, the terms and receiving of expert conclusions.
The forensic expert Tetiana Matus described in detail the aspects of the appointment of a commodity expert examination in the absence of the object of study.
During the presentation on “Forensic psychological examination of the communicative activity of a person recorded in a video/audio recording”, forensic expert Iryna Stadnik noted the main recommendations for recording an investigative action conducted in relation to a person who is a witness, victim, suspect.
During the constructive dialog, the participants of the meeting exchanged views and suggestions on ways to resolve problematic issues that arise during the appointment and conducting of forensic examinations in criminal proceedings.
