Viktor Kostetskyi, the Head of the Forensic Research Laboratory of Kiev Scientific Research Institute of Forensic Expertise, took part in the round table “Technical research of documents in a copy”. The scientific event was organized by the National Center of Forensic Expertise of the Ministry of Justice of the Republic of Moldova with which KFI supports professional friendship and cooperates in scientific and expert activities.
The scientific and practical forum brought together a joint discussion of topical and problematic issues of conducting a technical examination of documents from representatives of expert institutions of Ukraine, Belarus and Romania. It is worth noting that the participants and speakers of the event were experts and honorary scholars.
The issues considered within the framework of the round table were devoted to the main tasks of the technical examination of documents, as well as issues of conducting research to determine the fact of making changes to the original content of the documents on the provided original documents and their copies.
The meeting participants had the opportunity to share experience and up-to-date methods and procedures used within the framework of the examination of documents.
In general, colleagues from different countries and expert institutions agreed that the problems encountered by experts in their daily work are similar and that their rapid solution requires active communication, comparison of scientific approaches and joint work.
“We hope that the knowledge acquired by the participants of the round table will be useful in their daily work and transferred to a wide range of experts in the field, will serve as the best scientific decision in the trial,” said Olga Kataraga, Director of the National Center of Forensic Expertise of the Ministry of Justice of the Republic of Moldova.
