On March 14, 2024, the Kirovohrad Regional Prosecutor’s Office held a seminar on “Peculiarities of pre-trial investigation and procedural guidance in criminal proceedings on criminal offenses related to domestic violence”.
Senior forensic expert Tetiana Litvinova participated in the seminar on behalf of the KFI Kropyvnytskyi Branch and delivered a report on “Forensic psychological examination in criminal proceedings on the facts of committing criminal offenses related to domestic violence, peculiarities of preparing materials for their appointment and conducting, as well as the possibilities and range of issues to be resolved in this type of examination” and provided comprehensive answers to the questions raised.
The seminar also featured presentations by the Head of the Department for Protection of Children’s Interests and Combating Domestic Violence of the Regional Prosecutor’s Office, her deputy, the chief specialist of the Department for Maintaining the Unified Register of Pre-trial Investigations and Information and Analytical Work of the Regional Prosecutor’s Office, the deputy head of the Kirovohrad Oblast Police Department, and the co-founder of the NGO “Clean Slate”.
The participants of the seminar had the opportunity to discuss problematic issues that arise during the documentation and investigation of criminal offenses related to domestic violence.
