Day of Mourning and Commemoration of War Victims

On June 22, the Ukrainian people honour the memory of millions of compatriots whose lives were cut short by World War II. On this day, we remember those who died in the field of bran, who was tortured by the Nazis in concentration camps.

The Second World War was a great tragedy and an extraordinary test for the Ukrainian people.  Unfortunately, even today, these Ukrainians again defend their native land from the aggressor with weapons in their hands, protecting the territorial integrity and independence of Ukraine, our freedom, and our future.

The Ukrainians then demonstrated and showed fortitude and readiness to defend their lands in the current war with the Russian striker.  And just as Ukrainians made a great contribution to the victory over Nazism in Europe, so now our soldiers stood up for universal values.   The present history of our state teaches us to be especially acute about the cost of freedom, peace, and security.

It is the duty of each of us to preserve the memory of those who stood up with weapons in their hands, our borders, our freedom, and our own democratic choice.

Eternal memory to the dead. Honour and glory to the living heroes!

We are strong! We are free! We will win!
