Specialists from the Kyiv Scientific Research Institute of Forensic Expertise completed their work in the Islamic Republic of Iran, where the director of the Institute, Oleksandr Ruvin, headed the commission that is investigating the crash of the Ukrainian Boeing-737 aircraft.
The following representatives were included into the group: the Kyiv Scientific Research Institute of Forensic Expertise of the Ministry of Justice of Ukraine, the National Bureau of Air Accidents Investigation of Ukraine, the State Aviation Administration of Ukraine, the Security Service of Ukraine, the Ministry of Defense of Ukraine, the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Ukraine as well as the National Police of Ukraine, State Emergency Service of Ukraine.
Upon the arrival of Ukrainian specialists in Iran, the work was distributed and carried out in three areas, namely:
1) Work with Iranian civil aviation representatives, determining the possibility of obtaining information from the black boxes, search for conversations between Tehran airport services and the aircraft crew.
2) Work on identification of persons, Ukrainian citizens in particular, speeding up and providing relevant data with DNA profiles of relatives of the deceased.
3) Work to determine the causes and consequences of the crash, inspection and investigation of the scene, material evidence, wreckage.
All the information and materials received will be further studied in Ukraine. In the near future, forensic studies will be carried out, which are possibly taking into account the current legislation of Ukraine.
In Tehran is still going the work of specialists in identifying persons and the representatives of the National Bureau of Air Accidents Investigation of Ukraine on the analysis of audio recordings continues.
