On December 22, 2022, the Cherkasy Branch of the Kyiv Scientific Research Institute of Forensic Expertise, within the framework of constant cooperation with the Cherkasy District Prosecutor’s Office, held an educational and methodical seminar with employees of the Cherkasy District Prosecutor’s Office on the topic “Characteristic errors in the appointment of examinations”.
The seminar was attended by Head and Deputy Heads of the Cherkasy District Prosecutor’s Office Andrii Zamotailo, Artem Shliakhov, Yevhenii Trotsko, Volodymyr Taranenko and employees of the Prosecutor’s Office of the Cherkasy District Prosecutor’s Office.
From the Cherkasy Branch of the Kyiv Scientific Research Institute of Forensic Expertise of the Ministry of Justice of Ukraine, the seminar was attended by:
- Oleksandr Mamchur, Deputy Head of the Cherkasy Branch Kyiv Scientific Research Institute of Forensic Expertise;
- Nataliia Barska, Leading Forensic Expert of the Cherkasy branch of the Kyiv Scientific Research Institute of Forensic Expertise;
- Nataliia Holubieva, Senior Forensic Expert of the Cherkasy branch of the Kyiv Scientific Research Institute of Forensic Expertise.
Andrii Zamotailo, Head of the Cherkasy District Prosecutor’s Office, and Oleksandr Mamchur, Deputy Head of the Cherkasy branch of the Kyiv Scientific Research Institute of Forensic Expertise, made introductory remarks at the seminar.
As a result of the seminar, the peculiarities of appointing economic expertise in cases of crime in the public sector and the specifics of appointing examinations in the rights of crimes in the environmental sphere were discussed. In addition, the characteristic mistakes made by the pre-trial investigation bodies during the appointment of handwriting examinations were discussed.
